Analysis of the problem that stainless steel nuts and other hardware parts cannot be pressed tightly

Published:2022-10-21   Views:91

There are two problems with stainless steel nuts and other hardware:
1. Riveting force. The riveting force of materials of different plate thicknesses and brands in different equipment is different. You need to adjust an accurate riveting pressure after actual verification. At the same time, the riveting time can be appropriately extended, but the total riveting time should not exceed 1 second, otherwise the sheet metal at the riveting position will be seriously deformed. The sheet metal riveting of most companies is manually completed. It is required that the sheet metal must be placed in position when riveting, with good levelness and 100% positive pressure. Generally, the corresponding fixture will be made for press riveting.
2. The target plate thickness shall not be too thin. Taking FH-M4-0.7 commonly used in Z as an example, its Z small plate thickness shall not be less than 1mm, its target hole diameter is 4.6, and the positive tolerance is 0-0.08

That is, if the plate thickness is too small, the target plate will be pressed through during riveting, or virtual pressure will be caused; If the hole is too large, it will fall off directly. The hole position accuracy of 8 wires is not easy to make. If the error exceeds 12 wires, the torque test is almost impossible to pass.

In addition, it is recommended to stand horizontally for 2-8 hours after riveting to eliminate internal stress.

At present, some riveting presses have preheating function, which can also improve the riveting performance.

If the customer allows, it is recommended to use hexagonal tail riveting parts. For example, for SO series and F series riveting parts, the required Z small plate thickness exceeds 1.5mm.

In addition, it needs to be pointed out that if the pressure is not tight, the material has something to do with it, but it is not because of Z, because the stainless steel nuts and other hardware parts have undergone corresponding heat treatment, so they are also stainless steel, and the hardness of riveted parts must be stronger than sheet metal parts. Even if it is a 304 student, it can still be pressed into the 316L plate.
